I'm in a band!

So this is pretty exciting. 

My new beau, Tony Kahn, and I have formed a band with his friend Eric Bogart. We are called Echoes of Django and we do have a website already, check it out! http://www.echoesofdjango.com/  

We play Gypsy Jazz music which is really awesome and ground-breaking territory for me. It's a blend of French and American jazz standards.  This is especially cool because I know many of the jazz standards which were taken from musical theater, plus I get to use my French which I love. I definitely never thought I'd be in a band, so this is pretty darn sweet ;]
Annnnnnd... do have a gig coming up this Sunday March 24th for French Fest at the Seattle Center! Our time slot is 11:15am-11:45am. Here are the details: Join the community on March 24, 2013 from 11:00am-6:00pm at the Seattle Center’s Armory/Center House for a free, family-friendly event celebrating Francophone cultures and traditions from around the world. Festival-goers will listen to live music, see theater and dance performances, taste international cuisine, learn from informative seminars, play games and enjoy a day full of fun activities!
